Chesapeake-Tony Heckstall ,66, of Chesapeake, Virginia earned his wings and was called home by the most high on Wednesday; Aug 2 2023 to take his rest. Tony was born to the late Simon H. Hecksall and Dorothy L. Heckstall on Sept. 9 1956 in Norfolk Va, where he lived most of his life.
Tony received his education from Norfolk Public Schools and worked for the City of Norfolk after high
school. Later in the years, Tony met his loving & devoted wife, Catherine White, of 16 years.
Tony was a passionate family man that love his family and friends. He would always say, “let’s have some fun" and fun times were had. Tony was the sweetest person/uncle, making sure that all the kids would have candy and snacks and his favorite ice cream and cake. Tony done whatever it took to make his nieces and nephews happy, even dressing
up as “Homie Da Clown” for (keke) birthday party when no one else would.
Tony was a devoted husband, son, brother, funny uncle, father and grandfather. He was predeceased by his sister, Joyce Heckstall Sheffield (Hurbert); his brothers: Raymond Heckstall, Simon Heckstall Jr., Andra Heckstall and Lawrence Heckstall.
Tony is survived by his wife, Catherine White; three children outta love: Theresa Little (Stacey), Tonya
White Brooks (Corey) and Terrie White; his sisters: Barber Ann Heckstall ( Ronnie), Sabrina Heckstall
Eaves ( Edwin) and Nicole Heckstall McAdams (Ricky); his brothe,r Gregory L. Heckstall (Shelly); and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Tony was a man of many words. Who always had to have the last word. So let’s not say this was
his last word but a new journey. So as we celebrate his life we won’t say it’s his last words but we will say
let’s have some fun on a new journey.
To his loving wife Catherine from his siblings: Thanks for always being available for our brother Tony no matter what the circumstances were. Love u and thank you. You will always be our sister.
