Las Vegas-On Tuesday, April 11, 2023, James Herbert Bell, Jr., was called home to be with the Lord in Las Vegas, Nevada. James (Jim) was born in Orange, New Jersey, to the late James Herbert Bell, Sr., and Bernice Dodson Bell.
James graduated from Indian River High, Chesapeake, Virginia— after his graduation, James joined the U. S. Army (Paratrooper) to proudly serve his country, affording him opportunities to travel the world with his family, and after serving his country, James and Denese packed up their little car with their children (Tania, Shamara, Taurean, Xavian) and moved to the West Coast (California and Las Vegas) for a new life.
James later met and fell in love and married his forever partner and wife, Veronica, in the beautiful city of Searcy, Arkansas. They started beautiful adventures with their amazing children, LaFaith and Maurice Bell.
James was truly a great man and his legacy will forever be a part of our lives—he was a selfless man and his passing has left an unfillable in the hearts of all who knew him. His ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive, and love will be forever engrained in his family like a thumbprint.
James was predeceased by his parents James Herbert Bell, Sr. and Bernice Dodson Bell; his sister, Dondra Bell Sparrow. He leaves behind his eldest sister, Debra Bell Wiggins; Wife, Veronica; Children: Tania, Shamara, Taurean, Xavian, Jeremy, LaFaith, and Maurice; 16 Grandchildren, and his favorite canine companion, Nova (all residing in Austin, Texas, and Las Vegas); a brother-in-law, Harry Wiggins; 2 aunts: Genevieve Williams and Delores Warren; one uncle, Bernard Dodson, and a host of family, friends, and all who knew James (Jim).
The family wishes to thank everyone for all acts of kindness and love shown during this difficult time. You're the Best!.
