Norfolk-Jacquelyn Murrell passed away on May 13, 2024, at the age of 56. She was born on February 14, 1968, to her loving parents Ashley and Gertrude.
Jacquelyn leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. She is survived by her four children: Ashley, Kia, Felicia and Petrona. Jacquelyn was a devoted mother who always put her children first. She cherished the time spent with her family and created countless memories that will be treasured forever.
Jacquelyn was also a proud grandmother to three grandchildren. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed spoiling them with love and affection.
Throughout her life, Jacquelyn worked for the City of Chesapeake, where she dedicated herself to serving the community. Her hard work and commitment made a positive impact on those around her, and she will be greatly missed by her colleagues.
Jacquelyn will be remembered for her warm smile, generous heart, and unwavering love for her family. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
A funeral service will be held Noon Wednesday; May 22, 2024 at Fitchett-Mann Funeral Services; 1146 Rodgers Street; Chesapeake, VA 23324. Viewing will be 1 hour prior to service. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery; Chesapeake, VA.

Jackie was a classmate of mine from elementary school all the way through to graduation from high school, where we sat beside each other. She was always kind! My thoughts and prayers are with Jackie's family.
