Obituary For Colitha Moody Edmonds

Colitha M. Edmonds (72) passed away at home in her sleep the morning of Sunday; December 10, 2023.

Colitha was born September 10, 1951 to Calup Moody and Deloris Ames Moody in Northampton County of the Eastern Shore in Virginia.

After she graduated from Northampton County High School she went on to work and spend her life in Chesapeake, Virginia. Colitha accepted Christ at an early age and joined Ebenezer A.M.E. Church; Capeville, Virginia and remained in membership until she relocated to Chesapeake, Virginia

She later met and married her ex-husband Alton Edmonds and thru this union had two children Neisha and Shelton. Colitha was very dedicated to her family and friends, always trying to make sure they were happy and taken care of.

Colitha was predeceased by her parents: Calup and Deloris; and her brother Roscoe. She is survived by her children: Neisha and Shelton; as well as her sisters: Shirley, Denise, Paula and Hope; her brother Barnett; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives anf friends.

A funeral service will be held on 11:00 Tuesday; December 19, 2023 at First Church of South Norfolk; Chesapeake, VA. Viewing will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Rosewood Cemetery; Va. Beach, VA.

    I'll truly miss,ms.Colitha we became friends, we watched our football teams play against each other and we fell in loved with,Tamron Hall show,at times we laughed so loud Sheldon came to see what was up ,they were very nice to me. I appreciate 🙏 them for that.RIP
